Art Advisory Scholarship Winner Emma Quong’s “On Pointe” Accepted to the 2015 Chicago International Children’s Film Festival

The black and white documentary, which premiered at the AAC gala in May, was selected from over 800 entries for screening in the prestigious festival. CICFF 2015 will be held October 23-November 1, 2015 in Chicago. Featuring fellow town resident Fiona Kirkland, the film elegantly shows the life of a young ballerina.

On Pointe Title Block

“On Pointe” is an Independent black and white documentary film by Emma Quong. I was so impressed when I first saw the DVD of the Film, recommended to me by Lynn Farscht, from Millburn Film Festival. (The On Pointe Film did not make it into the Millburn Festival as it completed after their deadline).

I asked Emma to debut the Film at Art Advisory Special Event and Show. I then recommended the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival to Emma for a good place to have her work seen.

We at Art Advisory look forward to screening the Film later this year in Millburn, and it will be screened several times at the Festival in Chicago.

Congratulations to Emma and Fiona.
